Basically i have a samsung NP305v5a AD04x model and i upgraded from windows 7 home basic premium to proffesional but i had to install some drivers again. the only driver i cant find is the driver for my SM Bus controller. I have went to the samsung website but nothing is available (unless i have missed it but that unlikely). Is it neccessary for it to have the driver for the smb and where can i get it? Thanks!!!
Go to Samsung and download the chipset drivers for your particular model. The SMB controller driver will be enclosed in it. You may have to install the whole chipset file to get the SMB controller driver. I would make a restore point and a backup prior to installing. In case of a failure you can get back to the starting point.
