Hi I have a new ASUS G73SW and when I changed my text size and log off, a small white square about 1x1 cm appears on the center of the desktop. It isn't a dead pixel because it only appears on the desktop. Anyone knows how to get rid of it? Thanks in advance

Welcome to Windows Seven Forums,

Without seeing a screenshot of your desktop I'd say it's the placeholder for a user account or something like that.

Try this fix: Fix broken desktop shortcuts and common system maintenance tasks

Other than that, is it part of a wallpaper you're using?

The worst case scenario would be something wrong with your screen or graphics.

EDIT:
No problems here; but then again I have a clean Windows install so I'm not sure if that makes a difference. No solution from me. :(

Not sure; I have 3D vision installed but I have it disabled since I don't have the glasses. Try updating your drivers and see if it helps. The following are great places:

G73SW and G53SW: Latest drivers and everything you need for a fresh install.

G73 Series Driver and Application Reference

First link is based on second link. Thus, they should be similar. But check both just in case ;)
Thanks for your help, I updated my NVIDIA driver and the square disappeared. For the other guys, thanks for trying to help!
