Smite MOBA - Error Code: 0xc000007b

Hello, I am new to this forum(using it as a last resort type thing).

I use to be able to run Smite fine before, I have no idea what happened, after I reformatted my computer awhile ago I was unable to start it. Recently my hard drive fried and I bought a new one, and I wondered if it fixed the issues, but it did not. I googled this and found out what it is, and haven't found a decent fix yet(hardly any). I opened an elevated CMD and did a "sfc/verifyonly" but it says all files are fine.

If you need any more information let me know and I will try to get it for you.

No I am not.

I haven't gotten a bluescreen on this harddrive yet.

two things you can try, first of all if you haven't already, install .net framework 4.5.1 from this link here http://go.microsoft.com/?linkid=9831986

if that fails to fix the issue, you can try to install the latest directx from here Download DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) from Official Microsoft Download Center

if that fails to fix the issue, you can try to install the latest directx from here Download DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2010) from Official Microsoft Download Center

c++ re-install, possible that your files could have got corrupted from rogue software Download Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x64) from Official Microsoft Download Center

I tried that and it said that I have a newer version of C++ already downloaded, so I went to the website and downloaded/installed C++ Redistributable 64Bit 12.0.21005.
Still does not work, sadly.

I know you have no received a BSOD, but follow this tutorial so I can verify a few things. Like making sure you have all of the windows updates you need. It is very vital that you have all the updates so you are able to run the programs.

That was the things I hope would have fixed this error, 0xc7b usually means a failing hard drive, I strongly suggest you complete a chkdsk /f /r in an elevated command prompt and see how that works out, if there's any errors they should be fixed with this, but that just means you're delaying the inevitable, hope it's not the issue but if you can, post back with your results.

Hotfix(s):                 125 Hotfix(s) Installed.

Do windows update. MAke sure you get your PC completely up to date. For windows, 125 updates is not a lot

Now, it is different from BSOD stop 0x0000007B. A bugcheck 0x7B does not allow you to boot into windows at all. You are talking about a NTSTATUS code and not about a bugcheck code. Bugchecks are more wider .... NTSTATUS codes often are included in the bugcheck, and sometimes they are independent.

Come to the point .... your issue is Error Code: 0xc000007b (iostatus.status in a crash dump; we use the !error extension to read it). Technically it means ...

STATUS_INVALID_IMAGE_FORMAT

The explanation to this status (!error report) is ....

{Bad Image} %hs is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support.

So the situation is clear. Either this program contains an error or it is not designed for windows.

Download a fresh copy of the program and install it. If still the issue persists, contract teh software vendor for support.

Windows is fully updated, reinstalled and still has not worked. It is designed for windows so it should work. What I am confused about is the error, I have been told many reasons why this error would pop up(examples: 32bit loading 64bit files, bugged game, etc). I will contact support and see if they can help me and post results later.

1. Download a fresh copy of the program and install it.
2. If still the issue persists, contract the software vendor for support.

I hope you tried multiple copies of the program's installer, not the same installer file for multiple times.
