smplayer playback of 1080p 60fps are too slow

hi, I hope this is the right place to ask the question.

I've 'smplayer' installed on my win7 64 bit machine. when I played the video I recorded with my Xiaomi Yi action camera, the playback are very slow, the clips are 1080p and 60fps format. while I use windows media center to play the files, they're ok.

is there a setting I could tweak in smplayer to play the clips? or smplayer isn't capable playing 1080p, 60fps videos?

Of the options for media players, the VLC seems to be the most popular. This is the first I've heard of smplayer.
