Has anyone noticed that the SNIP IMAGE in Windows 7. SEND email button no longer works with the latest version of Thunderbird Ver. 60.5.2 ?? All the other option work like, Save,Copy...

I use it a lot, at least I did..

This is what I get when I right click a folder, select compress and email, using latest Thunderbird. I am on Win7 Home Prem 32bit and use 7Zip.

Thanks for the reply but what does this have to do with my post about SnipImage 'send email' option not working in the latest version of ThunderBird 60.5.2

Basically, he's saying that the latest Thunderbird is crap.

I use Thunderbird myself, and I use an add-on for PGP. Well, since Mozilla in their infinite wisdom and want to copy Google, they have changed the add-on system form XUL based to Webextensions. Not only are they an asinine way to create add-ons, but my PGP add-on was not coded in Webextension format and I did not see any other PGP add-ons I could use for the latest Thunderbird. So I downgraded my Thunderbird install to version 60 which allows XUL based add-ons. So with that you could either wait till Thunderbird addresses these issues if at all, or downgrade your version.

There's also another open source email client that's like Thunderbird and uses XUL add-ons called Interlink. Interlink Mail & News - Projects - Binary Outcast I have not used it so can't vouch for it.

If you want to downgrade, here is the 32 bit version of 60.5.1: Directory Listing: /pub/thunderbird/releases/60.5.1/win32/en-US/

64 bit version: Directory Listing: /pub/thunderbird/releases/60.5.1/win64/en-US/

All versions: Directory Listing: /pub/thunderbird/releases/

Chose EN as your language if in the U.S.

Another thing you could do to send images if you decide to wait and see if Thunderbird fixes their crap is to snip the pic, save to desktop, right click pic and copy. Now right click in the email composer and select paste.
