It does the job and in terms of video, better than winamp. Its just bigger in resources than winamp. Try it for a time and see what you think and report back.

Ideally I'd like to use it because of its excellent integration, but it is constantly undone by the "Updating media library" issue. It simply never stops updating the two sources of media I have. I've tried all the offered solutions to no avail.
I'm happy with AIMP2 and GOM (for videos) meantime. They look better than WMP too.

It's alright, i use itunes for music, but keep WMP for videos. As the other members said, try it for yourself and get back to us.

I've not installed a 3rd party music/video player since i first installed Vista 3 years ago. I think WMP12 is superb & the 'Updating Library' issue that people mention does not even effect performance (so i can't see the issue with it), even on my slow machine :p

WMP12 owns. It''s so simple. Once I imported the music from my old PC after about only 15 minutes I had all the album art , Compositors , Years, EVERYTHING! You don't need to look at that dull CD icon anymore, the album art moves in. (+ Gets fun when you try it with Media Center> Music > Albums)
