So what do you think of Lance Armstrong?

I understand the leeway that can come with fame but think it's a lousy analogy. Armstrong only harmed himself (he may have "cheated", wasn't "fair" or whatever but did no true harm to others). MJ, on the other hand, did (allegedly).

And weren't those young "groupies" around 6 or 7 years old or so?

Never heard anything like that young for groupies, but they were definitely underage.

Could be said about anyone but there are libel laws and defamation of character to protect people against malicious slander. It is true that it is becoming increasingly difficult to enforce though - one of the 'benefits' of our modern communications age. Armstrong is not defending himself.

Not exactly a total mess. He still has all of his money, his health and a good life ahead of him..........Yea, I would swap with him.

Mack .. you make very good points.. however he has to look himself in the face daily..unless he's a real oger..
that will still be hard to let go of ..I read where he dropped off the foundation he began, that also is a sad.. he had accomplished so much good there.
MONEY is important as it helps us all to survive, but it won't buy us happiness that last ,where struggling with honesty will help us to grow into much better people,mature and knowing right from wrong, living it in our daily lives, if we use it right .
Just my opinion dear. Having and sharing a well rounded life is a joy to behold.

Its not over until the Fat Lady sings but she is getting dressed for the performance. The ICU will give their ruling before Oct 31 and can accept the findings or appeal them. If they accept them then its up to the Tour de France to strip the titles. The TDF has stated that they would vacate the titles and would have no winner for those 7 years if it comes to that.

Yes, I believe Snake Oil salesmen depend upon there being a sufficient number of gullible people in the world - and history proves them correct in this belief. It often takes skill and experience to sift the dirt for the truth.

Did anyone watch The World According to Lance on CNN last night? The show covered a lot of detail and presented it well.

Too true - it is not as if these guys are not superb athletes and are doing a quite dangerous and exciting spectator sport so the drugs are just unnecessary. The TDF would still rank as one of the world's top sporting achievements for any winner. I hope changes do come about and are lasting.

It isn't people are standing by him because he is innocent

It's the fact they had to keep pushing the BS over so many years

The fact that they test these people every time there is an event even they take blood pee what ever and it took them years to find out

Also the guy had cancer people can't be too sure that the meds he took could of been steroids to help him get better

My whole point of it is these people waste years with hardly no evidence now once he comes out on Oprah he is guilty I just think he did it to shut everyone up already i still think this is just a farse to put someone down that was a winner you may not agree with me or what ever but seriously to take this long to catch him doing something when he was in plain view just makes me think it is more about personal gain then anything else
