Software to cast Win7 desktop?

Kinda surprised this wasn't a simple task. I have an LG TV. I want to cast my Win 7 desktop to it. I tried Chrome, but that only will cast some sites like YouTube, if I switch to desktop, it won't cast it. And I can't find any software I can install on my laptop that will cask my desktop to the TV. Anyone know of any?

Screen display can be controlled by W7 and your graphics card......and also depends on how the 2 are connected
W7 has its own "control panel", however your graphics card also has an input. have a read

remember as its a tv screen resolution and refresh rates will be different to your standard monitor

I'm not talking about setting a different monitor. I want to cast my screen to a TV

You don't need any program to use a second screen, just connect a HDMI cable from your video card/motherboard to the TV and you're done. Windows itself has built-in options to use it as a second monitor with its own desktop, to replicate your current screen to it or to extend in both screens.

I'm looking for an option to wirelessly cast. Not use a cable
