Solved my problem

I'm not sure if I'm posting correctly and hope I'm not violating any rules - but I wanted to share how I was able to fix my window update problem with everyone - so that if anyone else has this problem it could help them (smile)!
I couldn't update and a virus or the removal of it must have corrupted my windows update feature - I found this fix it on Microsoft (after spending two days trying everything else - lol) and it fixed it! Here is the link to the microsoft page!

It would be helpful to also know which one of the fixes was able to repair your Windows update problem. Thanks for posting!
