Just finshed building this computer, have all the updates direct X drivers etc. I'm trying to launch Eve Online, the splash screen pops up for about 30 seconds. Then it just disappears, no error messages or anything. I've tried installing and reinstalling, and running it in every compatibility mode availble as well as admin. Anyone have any other ideas, i'm out and haven't been able to come across anything else to try.

According to Microsoft's "Win7 Compatibility Center" there is no information whether Even Online is compatible with the 64bit version of the OS; however, a bit of searching and I saw people reporting that it works just fine.

There was an old thread here on SF mentioning a similar problem (with scarce details, though):

Perhaps you might try reinstalling the graphics drivers.

I hate to ask this as I risk insulting you, but have you tried simply restarting your PC? I have W7 x64 and I find that some programs will simply not open no matter what you do until you restart. When you run the game, does a process for it appear in the task manager? This will prove that the game is trying to run at least.

As I said, try restarting and make opening the game the first thing you do when you log back in.
