Now I know some of these five programs are already known about but I was interested in trying the No3 Performance test from here anyone used it??

Hmm i'm not sure about that report to be honest, including FRAPS as a benchmarking tool, when all it truly does is display FPS?

Performance Test is a good little tool, but like all freebies you should really take it with a pinch of salt. Personally i would use the free version of 3DMark (whichever the current literation is) or another similar software as it has a wider community base to compare to also.

We OCing nuts have used Performance test John to brag about scores.
Even have a thread for it.

the nice thing about passmark performance test is it's database with pretty much every cpu/gpu sold in past few years, where you can compare similar spec PC's to yours to see where are you standing, or if upgrading to new pc/cpu/gpu makes sense. Just run it and see yourself, after couple runs for consistency save the results and remove it. Fraps is a nice tool to see for sure, if you imagine things, or games really run slow FPS on your machine and he did say it's a different type of benchmark, nothing wrong with that. Frankly, I think this is actually one of more useful benchmarks there is: it will actually tell you how fast the game you're interested in will run and if it is playable. With most "normal benchmarks" who knows what they actually test. The integer and floating performance may mean jack if the game you want to play is graphic bound for example.
