Hi everyone :)

This problem has just appeared on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit system and I am searching for some advice.

Some web pages now do not load at all, either saying 'cannot connect' or staying in 'loading' state forever, some pages load with only text and no pictures (e.g. Facebook), and some are loading as normal (e.g. google, youtube, the Seven forums). I primarily use Chrome, but am having the same problem when I try Firefox or IE.

I have the same problem on my home wired connection, and on the wireless connection in my work, so it seems to be a PC problem?

I have found several thread on these forums with similar problems, and have worked through their solutions, but nothing has worked for me.

So far I have tried:
1. Flushing DNS
2. Clearing internet history/cache
3. Running anti-virus check - no problems found
4. System Restore to few days prior to problem appearing
5. Run 'Troubleshooter' for internet connection - no problems found

I hope some of you may be able to offer some suggestion!? :) - if you need any more system info let me know and I will upload asap.

Thanks so much for any help

Thanks so much Yair Tendler! That first suggestion worked for me! :D Everything seems to be back to normal now. I'll report back if anything changes. Just out of interest, what does that setting change?

Anyway thanks again, your a legend!! :D

That is just a different DNS server than your ISP was using, though I prefer to set up the DNS servers in the routers settings which means that any machine connecting to your router would be using the DNS server that the router has been set to use. No need to go into the IPv4 settings when you set up the DNS servers in the router.

I should point out that the secondary DNS address for Google's DNS is incorrect. It's supposed to be 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, the links below explain what DNS servers do. :)
