I thought that this could either make a home in Software or Customization, but it seems more like Customization... so here it is.


Swept Away

I just recently found this little app. If you've ever heard of SpiritedAway for Mac, then this is just that for Windows. What it does is it automatically minimizes inactive windows on your desktop. You can set how long the delay is before the program counts a window as "inactive", and you can set programs to not be affected at all. Keeps my view uncluttered. :)

This app is a useful tool in my opinion. It uses the same script language that I used for my System Transparency script to minimize windows to the tray area via a pretty large number of hotkeys, and the middle mouse button can even be used (the trigger area of the middle mouse button can be limited to the title bar or the entire window).. Very helpful with windows you need open but not in view. Even comes with the source code for fellow AHKers. :D
