Hello and welcome to Seven Forums!

When did this problem started? It sounds like you had access to banking and email before.
It is a possibility that your internet provider or the country blocks certain sites. Though i don't see why would the goverment disable online banking. The best would be to borrow a laptop if you can and acces the web through your home network with the laptop. This would really rule out the possibility of the wrong configuration. Also are you using a router?
It is most likely to be your router or computer but it can happen that the internet provider is the cause. You should call them up and ask them about these problems.

Please provide more info about the config. What antivirus are you using? What are your windows settings that you have changed since you did the install?
OH wait, it sounds like that you cant reach websites that are using ssl security. (in the adress bar https will show up instead of http)
Sorry i am going to bed now, but you can do some googling on this:
can't access ssl sites
and you might find the clue to the problem :)

Hello,

Please check your browsers and find out if there's Proxy settings. Disable if found.
How to Remove Proxy Settings

Verify that DHCP is enabled on both LAN and Wireless settings, also DNS Server is set to auto configuration.
Wireless Network Support: How to enable DHCP on Windows 7?

If above suggestions didn't help at all you may provide us an ipconfig /all output.
Click on Start => in run or search box type cmd, press enter. From the command prompt (black screen), Copy and Paste these ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt . Please attach the .txt file to be found in your Local Disk 'C' on your next post.

After many hours searching help forums, doing all sort of things with mt computer.
I broke down and brought it to a shop. They found no problem.
Phoned mt isp again argued for an hour telling them its them and not me.
They finally admitted it was a problem on there end. I asked when the problem will be fixed
And they didn't know, no estimate no apology nothing but attitude.
So I called another isp and ordered there services.

Thank you all for your help

this is the kind of thing that happens the more and more secure you make things.
I didn't realize it at the time but peerblock was blocking sites like that on my computer. didn't even cross my mind it could do that. I had to allow HTTP connections.

Hi, i am havin this problem of some pages not getting loaded too...and mine is a lil weird..i access my home internet thru a wifi on a Compaq (Vista 32bit), HP Pavilion DV6(64bit) and a Nokia E5-00 Smartphone. For some days now, I am not able to access few sites thru my DV6 and my E5 (rediff.com is one of them so i will take it as the case here) at my home network while the Compaq loads all sites perfectly as ever before..However, the DV6 and E5 load all websites at my office wifi including rediff.com...I am too puzzled as to what can be the reason for this issue..I have already tried factory reset of my home router (WA3002) but nothin changes ( i even tried replacing it with another working router which i have as a spare)...but no good luck  and the situation remains the same...Can anyone help me on this?

Hi...I found the solution myself and want to share it so that others having the same issue might benefit...the problem was in the dns which was autoconfigured in the modem supplied by my ISP...I changed the set of DNS (Primary and Alternate) in the modem and now everything's fine as usual :-)
The only thing that still puzzles me is that how come my Compaq was able to surf all sites....I guess this is why we say....Old is Gold....lol

Good day

Riz
