Someone reco a digital camera forum?

not exactly related to Seven ... but since this crowd is the 'devil I know' I thought I'd ask directions here.
I need a digital camera forum... I have questions about a couple of cameras and can't easily find good answers by web searching. I sure tried

if any of you are digiphotobugs, pls recommend a destination.
if it matters, at the moment all but one of my cams are panasonic lumix leica-lens models

mine are 3 Panasonic, one Canon. its the panasonic and accessories therefore that have me stumped

What are the specific model numbers of your cameras? Have you tried Googling with that as a search term to see what comes back? Also, use the same information as a search term in the forums I suggested.

yes I have, quite a few differing searches, substituting a term here and there. DMC-FZ8 and DMC-fZ18
I have a TZ10 also but I plan to ebay it as soon as I get the oddball usb cable for it and upgrade the firmware. [different issue... what IS that type usb connector called?].
The wife and I are both pretty much noobs at the accessories. I don't understand what adapter rings/tubes to go for, and having done so, what size/type telephoto lens would be a good 'starter'. I have tripods and such... that part is easy. I gather that there are some lens dimensions/sizes for which there is a much better supply of choices. also confused about which adapter in terms of the threading: external, internal, both, etc. sorry I can't explain better...

nawwww.... all the dmc-fz# models take a variety of attachments.
I got some better clarity from studying the Raynox offerings yesterday:

and there's this:

I asked a question about that one and am told it screws directly on, no adapter needed.

I think I picked up on a key term I did not previously recognize but I'll frame it as a question: do the makers of these devices use the term "conversion" in the descript to indicate that the device changes the size of the receiver? that is, a "conversion adapter" or ring takes the device from the default 55mm or 58mm [which is it??? that's part of the issue] to something other... from 55 to 58 or 63. I also noticed that some of the lenses are actually kits that screw on a succession of filters? inline between the stock barrel and the actual lens [and I haven't a foggy clue what those are there for.]
