Hey guys,
I am having some problems with my wireless connection, I get 1 bar of connection on my pc. When I put my girlfriend's laptop next to my pc she got 5 out of 5 bars of connection speed. So I'm guessing it's not the signal reach, I bought a new wifi usb stick and it didn't help at all. I tried changing the channels of my wireless network and that didn't help much either. I don't know what to do anymore so i hope you guys can help me.
Something that could be worth mentioning is that I used to have windows xp on here and then my internet wasn't that slow. I recently upgraded to Win7 and then it all started. I want to keep Win7 but i also want faster internet speeds. Wired isn't an option because my pc is placed 2 floors above my router(b-box 2 of Belgacom==>Belgian internet provider). Please can some1 help me?

Actually, wired is an option: powerline networking

Uses your house wiring to connect a computer anywhere in the house to a router or modem.

Hello Kikalka,

In addition, can you please download and install Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector. After the installation double click the shortcut icon from your dekstop, do a screen capture of it then attach and post it here.

Ok so i just looked up this powerline networking thing and there's a catch you need a plug that goes straight into your wall, wich is impossible in my room because i have one plug with a (i don't know how you say this in english) extension multiple plug thingy inserted to plug in my pc and screen...

If the first one is yours (Van Damme) that's a signal issue.

My recommendation is for you to use a Wi-Fi adapter with High Gain Antenna with higher dBi (>7) or wireless repeater/extender.

Using a multi-plug adapter with the wall outlet should not be a problem. If you continue to have wireless problems I would suggest that you seriously consider trying a PowerLine setup. If it doesn't work ( I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't) then return it.
