You se those 2 black push pins catty corner on your card, circled in red?
Well you gently squeeze then together from the back side of the card and push them through the front.
That is how you remove the fan.

You could use a fan like this one the only thing is if the holes will line up.
It does say it's for a VGA cooling kit and also comes with thermal compund and memory heatsinks. Fabe

Oh, btw, there was announcement that ATI has been taken over by AMD and that the ATI line will no longer be 'existing' eventually. Radeon and some of the current generation Video Cards will be working, but the Eyefinity, their newest chipset will be branded for AMD.

Just a couple of years ago the top 3 brands were Evga, XFX, and BFG.
Evga was and still is #1, XFX has had some issues and horrible support.
Sometimes they have good deals on their B Stock listings, especially for older stock:

I just want to ask is Diamond a good video card brand?

Diamond stopped being a decent Video Card maker, at least, for games for a while. Most of their current card are basic level desktop or OpenGL for Autocad based applications if at all anything else.

If you are looking for the Reasonable 3D Game based cards the ones using nVidia and ATI chipsets are the only worth while ones, however, ATI has been bought out by AMD now and the ATI name will eventually vanish as their newest line of graphics chipset, the Eyefinity, will not be branded under ATI.

nVidia, currently, has passed on making cards themselves, and focused more on just making the graphics chipset and drivers for it. As mentioned before, the groups like EVGA, XFX, PNY, ASUS and others are the ones doing the majority of the nVidia based cards.

Thanks. I'll probably go with this since it's at a local shop nearby. :)

OK. I got my new cooler and have it installed. The only problem is that after being on for about a minute, my monitor turns off completely causing me lose picture/signal.

The fan has an extra power source which is linked to an available slot on my hard drive, so I'm not sure if this has any effect.

Any idea why I may be losing signal?

No, it's not that. I disconnected the fan completely and I still had the same problem. It seems like underneath where the fan sits, there's a chip that isn't being covered by the new fan, and so the display shuts off. I'm not sure why this is.

+1 on that one Fabe.

The HDD power sources should be left for drives, IMHO. Especially if you have a number of them. Sometimes fans can have changes in current draw, and with a lot of drives on the rail, you might get a droop now and then. It's not common, but it could potentially cause stability issues.
