Sony DR-BT22

Hello,

New to the forums. I'm asking this on behalf of a poster on another forum which I visit.

They've just upgraded to Windows 7 and have blue tooth headphones (Sony eSupport - DR-BT22 - Software Updates & Drivers) Since updating he hasn't been able to get them to connect; There's no drivers for it at all.

I am trying to connect to a desktop. The desktop has bluetooth integrated into it already, so there's no need for a dongle.

I've just connected my mobile to it, and managed to receive a file from my phone to my PC without a problem.

In terms of my headphones, I can manage to add the device to my PC without a hassle, so it appears on the list of bluetooth devices. But when I actually try to connect the headphones, it won't work.

Thanks in advance.

I have seen this question asked before on this forum, and just did a search. It doesn't seem to have a solution at this time. I Will do some searching and try and get back to you. Fabe (edit) After a search on the web, this seems like an ongoing problem with 7 and no one has found a resolution, YET.

Lenovo Support & downloads - Bluetooth with Enhanced Data Rate Software II for Windows 7, Vista - ThinkPad

download and install the 7zbv14ww.exe file found on lenovo's site. you should also be prompted to install a broadcom driver. after these are installed, windows should detect your sony dr-bt22 as four separate devices: bluetooth hands free audio, bluetooth L2CAP interface, bluetooth remote control, and bluetooth headset. make sure your bluetooth settings are set to discover devices and you should be set.

You absolute legend! Thank you so much!

Would you have any idea how to change the playback from hands-free audio to stereo?

Thanks again!

i'm not exactly sure if this is what you are asking, but to switch between speakers and to configure the bluetooth headset, right click on your volume button on the right corner. go to playback devices, click on dr-bt22, then set it as default. to make sure it is stereo audio, click on properties, then the advanced tab to change stereo quality. hope this helps.

Right thanks. It only gives two options:

1 channel, 16 bit, 48000 Hz
or
2 channel, 16 bit, 48000 Hz

I assumed I'm meant to use the 2 channel option?
