I recently installed build 7100 of Windows 7. I have had it for a few days, and decided to install Halo PC. When I popped the CD into my DVD Drive, the auto-run didn't start. So I decided to double click on the DVD icon in My Computer. My PC froze up and I had to restart my computer. Going into device manager, I'm told that my DVD drive works perfectly. But when I try to click on "Properties", the Device Manager window freezes (it is still frozen and running in the background while I am writing this post).
Is it a driver problem? Or is there some fix I need to download?
This problem also happened to me back when I installed build 7000. In between then and now I have been using XP.
Edit: It seems to be an on/off thing, because it is working now.
