Sony Vaio memory.

I got a Sony Vaio VGN-FE31M laptop which support DDR2 533mhz
memory.
Is there any way to use it with DDR2 800Mhz I recently bought ?

Because my screen stays black after the Sony logo

I was thinking about a mobo bios update ?
