Hi. I'm new to this forum. I have sony vaio vgn-cs13g. When i bought it, it has windows vista. Recently I have installed windows seven ultimate x64 OS. After install windows seven I came to know it fingerprint sensor and webcam drivers are missing. I tried to download it. But I was unable to find it in anywhere. Even in sony website (Support for VGN-CS13G : CS Series : VAIO™ Notebook : Sony Asia Pacific). I downloaded all drivers they suggested. Plx help me to find these drivers. Sorry for my english.

In looking through the Sony website for information about your Vaio model, it seems like most of the information is almost a year old (going back to 2010.) It's possible Sony hasn't provided the drivers for your webcam or fingerprint reader. Two suggestions. Contact Sony support and ask them where you can get the drivers. Perhaps they can provide a manufacturer's name for the webcam and fingerprint reader and you can get the drivers directly from the manufacturers' websites. (I'd use the Contact Us button at the lower left of the page.)

Support : Sony Asia Pacific

If Sony can't (or won't) help you might be able to identify the manufacturers yourself with this tutorial.

I don't know why they don't work. If they were really compatible with your machine they should work. If you're sure you didn't make any mistakes while downloading or installing, then it would appear that they're not compatible. Try using compatibility mode. Maybe they're really Vista drivers.

Perhaps you want to try a different website for obtaining drivers. This site says, "Just create a free account, log in, and start downloading the driver updates that you need." I have no personal experience with this website.

DriverMax - free driver updates

If this still doesn't help I'd contact Sony. They would be the best source to find out why their drivers aren't working.
