Solved Sony Viao VGN-AR590E Help with internal microphone

Hello, I am running Windows 7 64bit on a SONY VIAO VGN-AR590E. I need help getting the onboard microphone to work correctly. I have successfully installed on the machine thus far the onboard camera via the Sony link using a unistaller

As of now the onboard microphone does not work at all. Please help.

Does the mic work at all, if so, then it's a problem with yahoo settings, somewhere.

The mic does not work at all I have installed the latest 'Yahoo Messenger' to try to set it up. The mic does not work on Paltalk either. Could there be a driver package problem due to upgrading from Windows Vista 64 bit? Like I said I was able to install the Camera drivers via unpacking the installer first with a 'universal extractor'.

I was able to figure it out which is good for a noober such as myself.

The only 2 audio drivers I installed were SigmaTEL and SigmaTel update. (NOT the Realtec driver). No need to use the 'uninstaller' for either of these packages.

The microphone works properly in Yahoo Messenger now. As well as Paltalk.,

This issue has been resolved.
