Soopler doesn´t work

Hi, can some one help me with a problem with the spooler....

I can´t add any Printer....When I try to add a printer it says: It wasn´t possible to add....The spooler service is not beeing executed.

And really it is not. At administrator tools, it is in failure. If i try to execute it manually i get an erro: the system did not awenser the start request or control in time.

Aredy tried this, but no result: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/pt-BR/winvistapt/thread/cee1de7c-0174-4743-afcc-d3dd867ac5f9
(this thread is in Portuguese)

My system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bits

I´m sorry if the error mensseges that i posted isn´t the exactally ones, thats because my system is in Portuguese(BR), so I translacted it in the better way that I found.

Thanks,

Alan.

Welcome

Go to search, type services. In services scroll to printer spooler and set it to automatic. Hope it works.

Might also want to check the properties of the spooler service to see what it's listed to do after 'failure' in recovery tab. If setting it to automatic (thought it was automatic by default) doesn't work, you should uninstall all print drivers or printing software on the computer. 2nd, check to make sure the RPC service is up and running. This should also be set to "automatic".
