Hi. ^^ Well, idk if you guys remember me from the Vista Forums but... I recently got a new Toshiba Laptop that has Windows 7 64-bit.
As far as I know it is running well, just with a little bit of problems that I [hopefuly] got them fixed.
*The biggest thing I have is the sound card not reading the "Wave Out" AKA the 'Stereo Mix". >__< I really use it, especially for Skype calls but I can't seem to fix this in any way (Toshiba has only the Win7 version).
I have the 'Conexant SmartAudio HD Version 4.119.0.60.

Some Info I gather from DxDiag (NOTE: for some reason it's showing the wrong driver version. O_o):
Code:
            Driver Name: CHDRT64.sys
         Driver Version: 4.119.0000.0000 (English)
      Driver Attributes: Final Retail
            WHQL Logo'd: n/a
          Date and Size: 3/31/2010 01:50:16, 724536 bytes
            Other Files:
        Driver Provider: Conexant

Please, I want to fix this problem ASAP (though It may not be a problem, just something that Microsoft did for Win7) >_<
^^

It's not really a "Microsoft" problem. It's the Toshiba or sound vendor's drivers. If you don't have the System Mixer you will have to try and find a different driver. Have you checked Toshiba for an update?

However, have you checked the Recording panel, in the Sound Panel to see if it's there but not enabled? Go to the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally Sound. In the Recording Tab section if the System Mixer (or Wave Out) is not displayed, RIGHT click in an empty space in that panel and then click to show disabled devices and disconnected devices. If the function now appears on the Recording list you can select it to be the default Recording device.

Yeah, I know that this is more of a Conexant problem, not microsoft (my bro's computer has win7 now and I just installed the vista version of the driver next with the problem which is another model, not conexant). Yes, I have checked for an update of the drive, installed it and noticed it was the same driver already installed. I think I will need an 'rollback' driver version rather than a update because it doesn't work.

That's the first thing I did before everything. I have used (and still using it until I completely move everything to this new computer) Windows Vista and I did that to make the 'Wave out' work. I re-checked it as well and still doesn't appear. This is the reason on why I'm looking for more help here.
