When i'm watching a video or playing a game, the sound fades out after it's been playing at a steady volume, but as soon as it gets louder, (e.g. an explosion) it comes back, then fades out again. It's really annoying. I'm using an afterglow wireless gaming headset.

Does this happen on the regular PC's audio/speakers? or a wired headset too?

As far as I know this only happens with the headset.

Try a different headset. If it doesn't happen with the regular PC speakers, or a regular headset, not wireless, the problem is in the headset.
