Hi,
my Dell E6420 makes a lot of glitches/crackling sounds, it has a built-in IDT. I've tried reinstall the most recent driver and uninstall it and let the Windows do it itself, the problem persists.
In my other Dell E6410 with the Realtek the sound is pretty good actually.

Is there some good driver any of you knows of that will solve these issues?

This has been an often complaint and for all sound types, Realtek, Connexant, IDT, etc.

Sometimes, deleting the hardware drivers and using the Windows installed "High Definition Audio" drivers helps but not totally fixes the problem. Wi-Fi is a known cause. Video has been known to cause this. There is no "one thing" that fixes the problem, each has to be addressed individually.

If you are not using the Dell supplied driver, install that.
