Sound lost after latest NVIDIA update

Sound has been lost after installing latest NVIDIA drivers.

Sound returned for no apparent reason then lost after sleep mode. I tried uninstalling the sound driver by itself now its not returning on its own and update check doesn't know its gone. I uninstalled VIA audio or disabled it somewhere as far as I know, I don't know how to enable it again, but the sound returned briefly after that anyway.

uninstall the device from device manager in the system and security section of the control panel. Reboot; then hopefully windows will re-detect it and reinstall it properly; then reboot again and see if that solves the issue. If not post back.

Also have a pretty bad speaker setup which is a klipsch promedia 5.1 surround speaker setup with huge subwoofer and lg blu ray player/writer. Also a hp officejet pro 8600 plus wireless all in one and a logitech s7500 webcam.
Yes that worked, ! Temporarily...its gone now. This after I uninstalled the NVIDIA sound driver, which may or may not apply to my system anyway.

Just to confirm, it only worked temporarily. There still is no sound.
