I have been using Windows 7(64bit) for about a month now and have not encountered any problems that I could have not fix myself, but I am on one that currently is causing me some trouble. This morning I noticed that certain programs are not outputting any sound.(I've checked to make sure sound is not muted, headphones are plugged in, ect.) It is very weird because only certain aspects of sound are not working in certain programs. I can go to a website and stream a video/music and hear that just fine, but if I try to load up a game, be it Call of Duty Modern Warfare1/2, World of Warcraft, or even a VOIP program like Ventrilo the sound is not working(for ventrilo I get sound from connecting and text-to-speech sound, but I do not hear other people on there). This is becomming quite a problem for me seeing that I am usually using Ventrilo and on a game at the same time. I am wondering if there is a known problem with sound malfunctioning with certain programs or if I should go ahead and reformat and hope for the best...
