I have Win 7 on my PC since the 1st beta came out.
Now I have the full Ultimate.

Back to my laptop,
I dont know why but there is no sound. In the taskbar is the sound icon with a little red cross (x). When I open it the troubleshooter opens and chechks the problem but dont find anything.

You may want to go to the manufacturers site and see if there are new drivers available. A red X usually means no audio device is installed. Probably a driver problem. You may have to uninstall/reinstall them.

Here is a link with some instructions for restoring the audio.

No sound, red x on volume icon, driver problem?

Some have had luck with this just by opening the mixer and moving the level control up and down.

What does it show in Device manager.
