Sound strachy/suttering with mouse freeze for a second?

Hi.

I had Windows 7 Ultimate x86 installed for long time, and I had a bit of problems with sound stuttering when I am deleting/moving/copying/extracting files (more on bigger files).

I always had 4GB ram, but x86 used only 3.20gb, so yesterday I installed x64.
Installed newest chipset, Lan, Realtek, Nvidia drivers for x64.

Everything worked like in x86, but now I was listening song on youtube, and I went to desktop, I saw there are files in Recycle bin, I select to clean recycle bin, it started, I switch to chrome/youtube tab, and "big, scratchy sound, like song is 2x slower speed happens with mouse freeze, like for second".
Everything happened in time of starting process of deleting files from recycle bin, I did not had such big lag/freeze with x86.

Tried to find solution, but I do not have luck, all I noticed is that CPU usage jumps when sound is stuttering a bit, but I could not produce same that big sounds lag, and mouse freeze again, while I was monitoring CPU usage.

I am stuck with this, any help would be appreciated.

Sound is considered a low priority device by Windows and is on a shared IRQ (Interrupt) with a higher priority device. Depending on the higher priority device and what it is doing, there can be sound interruptions.

Two issues. (1) Make sure you have the correct sound driver, from the Motherboard vendor, and not the generic Windows installed HD Audio codec, which is a basic function sound driver and may not always work properly. (2) You can try an uninstall (in the device manager) and then restart and Windows will reinstall the sound. Sometimes this puts it on a different shared IRQ and fixes or minimizes the interruptions.
