Generally, if you only have "High Definition Audio" that indicates the generic, basic function, Windows installed sound driver. That is not the actual sound driver for you sound hardware device. Suggest you check with the PC vendor for the actual sound driver. If they have Win 7 driver great, if they only have Vista that is OK as Vista drivers are applicable to Win 7.
