SoundMax AD1888 driver

Hi

First sorry for my bad English.

İ just upgrade my Windows Xp (Turkish) to Windows 7 build 7022 and i installed my Sound Card driver but no any voice on my computer.

My pc's motherboard Asus P5PE-VM and my onbard sound card is SoundMax AD1888 i try a lot of method but i can't solve this problem.

Can you help me about this ?

I can't understand http://www.sevenforums.com/sound-audio/1131-no-drivers-soundmax-ad1888-2.html#post30990 this but i make same things.

First i uninstalled my all sound driver after i download and install soundmax driver with Window XP compatible and i restart my computer.

After now i can see only volume icon my taskbar and i try to overwrite copy C:\windows.old\Windows\system32\drivers\smwdm.sys to c:\windows\system32\drivers\ and file overwrited but no sound.

I think we want to install any codec for this.

Sorry for my bad english if you found a fix please tell me too.

HI !! You all must be having problem that windows 7 is not detecting soundmax driver on asus board. On installing from cd that came with motherboard it says OPERATING SYSTEM NOT SUPPORTED!!

Extract the ad1888 part1&2 files for windows XP SP2 on the asus site

(At product choose barebone, and model Terminator 2, than select the T2-p
Go to Audio and download it)

Extract the content. (extract the part 1 in a folder and put AD1888part2.rar in the same one)

Findsetup.exe in it. Now, right click on the setup and choose option Troubleshoot compatibilty.

It will detect issues and search programs and you will be presented with a set of options.

Choose option it ran with previous versions and also choose need special permissions.
click next . And your setup should start.
Let the driver install . restart when prompted and done enjoy music on you system.

You may for first time get a Notification No ADI codec driver found.. Just click ok everything is fine.


IMPORTANT!!!! do not try to upgrade the driver from device manager or it will again return to No sound condition.

hi,
I am using K8VMX motherboard.I recently updated to windows 7.As of everybody using this main board i,also had the soundcard ad1888 not working.I just rightclick setup.exe in DRIVERS\K8VMX\SoundMAX512015150\AD1888\64BIT\ folder and in 'compatibility' tab ->compatibility mode->run this program in compatibility mode->
select windows xp servicpack2
->OK
Now run the setup.
setup compleated without errors
now restart
an error mesaage driver notfound(ignor this message)
if still no sound
dsable and enable the soundmax card in devicemanager.

Above procedure solved my problem.
plese respond if yours solved.
