Hi, I've tried multiple times to upgrade to SP1 via Windows Update and it has failed. It doesn't even get to the installation stage; it fails to download. I have tried reverting to a system restore point multiple times, and it still fails.

My system:
Asus K52Jr-X5 Notebook
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
Intel Core i3-350m
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470
500 GB hard drive with 2 partitions
4 GB DDR3 RAM

Thanks, but that didn't work. I installed the System Update Readiness tool that someone recommended in another thread, and it allowed me to download the whole update, and get to 95% complete installation. But then it hit me with error code 800F0A13, and it's telling me that I need to reinstall Windows entirely to solve the problem. I'd rather not do this, so is there any other way I can resolve this?

Any suggestions?

Kindly disable your anti virus and firewall first and try to download. If the installation completes, then it's fine. If not, you will have to run an online scan with superantispyware and later with Malwarebytes antimalware (malwarebytesantimalware.org )and then with the A-V. Malware is a common cause for this kind of situation to happen.
Kindly down load SAS (portable scanner)from : SUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!

Sreedhav
