Hello all,
I wonder if anyone can help me, my right hand USB speaker has recently stopped working, I ran through the set up but failed to fix it.
I thought oh well looks like it has had it and purchased a new pair and these are excactly the same left speaker OK right speaker nothing.
I have gone through the configeration done the test left one pings right one does not, in properties it tells me the device is working properly and the driver is correct.
Any help to rectify this problem will be greatfully appreciated, many thanks.
Peter.

If you right click the speak icon, go to Playback devices | click Speakers | Properties | Levels | Balance, are your sliders at 100% like this image?

Make sure you click the USB speaker icon in the Playback devices.

Hello, Thank you for your reply and interest shown, I had already tried what you suggest but did go through it again with no joy.
Set the slider controls to 100 but they jump back to a lower number i.e 80, the left slider I note is colour blue and the right slider has no colour which makes sense because the right just does not work at all.
I does seem a shame that right one does not work on existing speakers and also on a brand new pair of speakers out of the box, I like to think it is not the speakers but something to do with the system.
Kind regards.
Peter.

I'm thinking you have a program there interfering.

Do you have some kind of audio program or its driver that has its own settings? Maybe it's in the Task Bar?

Hello,
Thanks for coming back to me, I have deleted/uninstalled 4 audio related items and also uninstalled VLC media player.
Windows media player was uninstalled so I have reinstated it, but things are still the same, I still have 2 audio related items installed 4k youtube to MP3, MP3gain I have not deleted these as I think they would not solve the problem.
Thanks again for coming back to me and your interest shown, I will live with just the one speaker for the time being and maybe one day in the near future I may be able to resolve it.
Kind regards,
Peter.

Can I see what your General tab looks like under the speaker settings. Also, is MP3gain a program? Did you have to install a driver for the speakers?

I can not tell from your post, but you may have a bad speaker jack, if you pull the wire input extreme left or right, it bends the inside of the plug internals, where you have 2 hots and a ground, sorry to say, if the internals are bent, on many machines you must buy a new mother board--WTF
this happen to me, had to get a whole new mother board to get one channel back

Feel the love from manufacturer yet?. this is after market planning money capture, just like I phone downloaded a program that burned your battery out so you would buy a new phone.
Baby's with out mothers grow into really competitive monsters.

Hello again and than you, MP3 gain is a small program that let's you make the audio tracks all the same level, no driver was installed with the speakers.
I do not like the idea of a new motherboard that is out of the question, it looks like we may not be able to resolve this problem and if so perhaps we should call it a day and I can for the time being live with just the one speaker.
With all good wishes.

For the heck of it, use Revouninstaller and temporally uninstall the MP3Gain program then reboot your computer. Is the right speaker playing again?

Uninstall Software, Remove programs easily - Revo Uninstaller Pro

I know it's easy to just quit, but having audio out of just one speaker is senseless and I wouldn't have that. I know I could fix it if it was me.

These are strictly USB speakers? No stereo cable? If there is a stereo cable it may be plugged into line out instead of stereo.

I had a bad input port and moved input plug to head phone jack, it worked fine for years on a XP dell machine.
