-added more names for SMART attributes
-added a new option to CONFIGURE / OPTIONS to disable SMART Summary Error Log on program start (this can dramatically improve SpeedFan startup time)
-the UI is now updated whenever new SMART data is read from the selected hard disk
-now, in CONFIGURE / EVENTS, when you press UPDATE to change some event, the editing fields are automatically cleared and the OK button is automatically enabled
-restored access to SMART attributes on AdvSmart, Areca and AMCC/3ware connected drives in Event configuration window
-events can now react to FITNESS and PERFORMANCE values of SMART hard disks
-added NOADVSMARTSCAN command line switch
-the first line of the email sent by an EVENT now has been changed to include the Machine Name

SpeedFan works under Windows 9x, ME, NT, 2000, 2003, XP and Vista. SpeedFan works fine on Vista 64 bit too.

Still no Windows 7 listed.

Doesn't mean it doesn't work on Windows 7. Always worked fine on my system. Even detected the correct OS at installation.

He added full Win 7 support at version 4.38. Just never updated that listed OS description on the site page.

Speedfan reports my cpu temp as -75c!

Speccy reports mine at 32c which considering the fan on the hsf isnt being used atm is pretty good.

Great, now speedfan tells me my cpu runs at 71..73c, with a flame symbol before...:shock:
When i load the cpu the fan revs up pushing it down to like 68c, but still.
No other readout whatsoever, guess it's my kinda dated system.
This is the first time I'm using such a thing, what other temp monitor s/w would you recommend to check against, since those temps appear pretty high to me. Not been experiencing any crashes related to cpu load or temp that I know of.
And when I cleaned out my case some time go, I renewed the thermal paste using Arctic silver.

There's core temp, Real Temp, HWinfo32. HWinfo32 will show you temps under "Sensors". I'm sure a few others out there.

oops.. my bad! it was the GPU that speedfan told me was 71c, and so does HWinfo32. Guess thats not too bad since the graphics board does not even have a fan.
But unfortunately none of all those programs get a temp for my cpu (P4 3GHz). Is it just my system?

I suppose none of them have support for your mobo/cpu? That would be my guess.

Looks pretty much like. CPUID shows the same as HWinfo32. Hmm... need to investigate. There must be a way to tap the mobo for the cpu temp though, because the cpu fan is obviously temp controlled.

help needed

i’ve just installed speedfan 4.43 and have got two labels which im not sure what they are one is ‘Core’ but i know its not my cpu and it reads 0c, and the other one is temp3 but that is reading -128c!!
im running a phenom 1090t with asus formula IV mobo
also how do i tell which fan is which my cpu,mobo,both hdd’s and gpu all have speed01 throu to 06 attached to them,speed01,02,03 have sensor pwm1,2,3 respectively but speed04,05,06 also have pwn1,2,3 as well only difference being the chip sb7xx/8xx PM2 and address $CCB being against speed01,02,03 and chip IT8721F and address $290 against speed04,05,06
