Solved Speedy DSL using Safe With Networking, bogs down with normal boot.

Hey everyone--first time caller, long time listener...

Having issues with my ethernet connected DSL. Speeds come fine to the router/modem (TP-Link W8980) but bog down from there to my laptop (HP 8460P). Tried everything I could think of--new cables, different ports, updated drivers, etc--nothing helped. CCleaner ran and Malwarebytes has nothing coming up as suspicious. I do run accountability software (Covenant Eyes) and thought that might be the culprit, but after uninstalling and running without it for several days I saw no increase in speeds. Using Chrome browser.

The only way I can get the speeds I'm paying for is if I boot in Safe with Networking. Then it all works fine--which means there's most likely something running in my 7 Professional 64 bit background that's throttling the works...

The only question is, what? Is it a process? Service? Attached is the hijack this file. If anybody has a suggestion, please let me know. This has been driving me nuts forever. Gone around and around with my ISP, router/modem folks, Intel, you name it without any solutions. Glad to get you any additional info you need. Thanks.

EXCELLENT advice! Went through the process and found Dropbox to be the sticking point. I had it set up to sync automatically, and apparently it was pulling more juice than I thought it was. Duly removed from the startup process, and now all is humming along nicely. Can't thank you enough--I've been struggling with this for weeks, trying to find a solution. BRAVO! :)
