yes i used the search function, but none of the threads had any answers i wanted.

whenever i play any online game (Warcraft III, CS, WoW) i get periodic lag spikes every 1-2 minutes. I use to have this problem when i ran XP but then a friend of mine said windows periodically scans for networks and that slows me down. So he turned it off and things were all peachy.

Does win7 still do that scan thing? If so is there a way to disable it?
Also is there a better wireless connection manager? i really dislike the one that comes with win7.
