Split screen - it doesn't seem to work on the left?

I am trying out the split screen function - I move my web browser to the RIGHT side and it splits it half the screen - but when I move another web brower or notepad or anything to the LEFT hand side, it doesn't do anything. It just stays where it is. Any ideas?

Hit windows key and then use arrows.

No I don't have multiple monitors.
What do you mean by HIT THE WINDOWS key and the move the arrows?

Press the Windows Key then Up, or Left, or Right, or Down.

Check in display properties. Your machine thinks you have an additional monitor to the left. Disable it to get rid of the problem.
