You'll still be part of the SpyNet network - Microsoft's distributed honeypot.

A honeypot is a machine or group of machines which is/are deliberately left without any form of system security. If you are running MSE or indeed any other form of security such as Windows Defender, Windows Firewall or any alternatives available, then you cannot be classed as a honeypot or part thereof.

on June 23, wasnt it 'leaked' that day? then the beta started like 2 weeks later.

I found the same mistake in two places:

UPDATES: The first definition download can take some time - so make a cup of tea

SCAN: Scanning for viruses and other malware for the first time with Security Essentials - time to drink that tea

It should of course be coffee.

The default actions for an alert are all set to "Microsoft Security Essentials' recommended action", with no description of just what those are.

etc., etc.

You're obviously looking for something specific that you caught....

ok the answer to the original question, is that they reviewer failed to spot the 2nd process which is typically 55mb, which as he said if its just 5mb then he was impressed.

i believe he was referring to the actual size of the program itself. which is for xp, ~8MB (W7 version is smaller i think, not sure)
