Having upgraded this weekend to an Intel SSD I was only slightly disappointed by the boot speed. The reason being I upgraded my laptop first and that was with Win8. That comes on fully to the desktop in about 20 sec(older laptop). My Win7 desktop on the SSD seems to take a wee bit longer. I didn't time it yet, but the Win 7 install is still loads faster than it was. Especially loading any programs and games. I noticed that was much much faster. MS word for example I could watch it load, now MS word loads instantly. But the boot and shutdown seem to be not as fast as I hoped.
