SSD Question

I am about to purchase a ssd for my pc and was wondering if there is a way to simply transfer windows to the ssd from my current spinning drive, Thanks

Yes it's called imaging your current drive. This and some other makes have special imaging software that also pays close attention to what's called alignment and it helps the data to be placed to maximize the performance.

I would not do that with a SSD . . Windows 7 will customize the installation when it is installed on an SSD. If you just copy another drive, you will not have that customization

If you run sysprep first you get a vanilla windows install with no drivers you can then image and transfer across to your new drive
