SSD transfer to new desktop

I ordered and 15 4670k and a new mobo to replace an old phenom II x4 965 BE processor. I'm wondering if I'll have to reinstall windows when I move my drives to the new mobo/cpu. I have to on the main drive right? Though I probably don't have to just for data drives? Thanks in advance.

Kadrek, welcome to the windows 7 forum.
Yes, you should re-install windows on your new Mobo as it will come with drivers for the peripherals and such. Your data drives should be fine and once you have re-installed windows, it will gather the new drivers for your MB and such.

I assume you have a Windows retail license because with an OEM license you will have activation problems after a mobo change.
