Hey everyone. After I dug up my EVGA GTX 9800+ super clocked (I think) I installed it as a phyx card to help run Alice:Madness Returns. Which works great for me. My problem is I'm running Starcraft now at 20~22 FPS on ultra, compared to 60~67 FPS WITHOUT the phyx card.

My main card is a EVGA GTX 260
Phyx card is EVGA GTX 9800+
I am running all the recent updates for windows, Direct X, All System drivers, Game is up to date. My only change was the phyx card no other settings.

Thank you all.

Use the NVIDIA Control Panel to disable the card (GTX 9800) completely while playing Starcraft.

What setting you chose to disable the card in the NVIDIA Control Panel?

In NVIDIA Control Panel, under the manage 3d settings I selected starcraft and scroll down to cuda and select GTX 260 instead of both of them.

Thats for CUDA only... Doesn't disable the card. Try to globally disable the GTX 9800 and then run Starcraft...

I have tried disabling it globally but what I did find that worked temporarily for me is that when I reinstalled the drivers and didn't restart I was back at my regular framerate but right after the restart without changing any of the settings its back to 25~30 FPS.

Uninstall NVIDIA driver. Use Driver Sweeper in Safe Mode to wipe all remaining NVIDIA files. Re-install NVIDIA driver.

Maybe there is a way to force Windows not to detect it... Apart from physically removing the GPU. Sorry, but I am to confused with this.... :(

I Uninstalled the phyx drivers and that worked but that also defeats the purpose of having the phyx card. Lol Thanks for all your help anyways.
