Solved Stardock support

i just bought fences2 and it wouldn't activate using my serial.
after several attempts i ended up maximizing my activation count.
the support at stardock linked me to a .bat file to run and also reset my activation count.
so all is well and running smoothly
i love stardock products.
been a wincustomize citizen for years now.

I like the Fences, too, it is very practical, using it on all my rigs. Angie uses their ObjectDock, it is the first app installed on her Windows computers.

Never had any issues with Stardock so I cannot comment that about customer support. Good to hear it worked for you.

yeah, i use modern mix with win 8 now as well, thats a neat one. opens your apps on the desktop and you can pin to taskbar, resize the windows etc. worth a try as you are a win 8 user kari.

Not trying to be mean here.....but, why use bloatware just to customize your pc?
You can get much better results without installing all those Stardock bloatware products .......
Virtual Customs , No bloatware needed, just patch your system for 3rd party theme use and your ready to go, BTW 99.5% of the themes and accessories there are 100% free. What was the last thing Stardock ever gave you 100% fully functional, Free?
Check out VC, they got some real kickass custom themes for you to choose from and good people to help you out if you run into trouble.

ive been a member of vc since it started, mark (mr grim) is a member here.
if you havent used fences then you dont get why i do.
i use windows 8 so i am waiting for more releases from mark as in win8 theme packs etc.
so for stardock products i use
fences 2
modernmix
and
start8

start 8 puts a start menu on my win8 set up.
modernmix allows full screen metro apps to be pinned to the taskbar and windows resized.
and fences hides all my desktop shortcuts and more
as far as im aware VC cover none of these things.

these are not visual customizations but software for using win8 in a practical way.

edit, oh! stardock gave us objectdock and fences1 free. i used them for years hence using them on win8 and upgrading
