Hello,
I recently re-installed W-7 Pro O/S and the computer doesn't list the drives, disk partitions, etc. when Start>Computer is selected. I get a panel that is labeled "computer" but nothing is listed.
Can anyone suggest what the remedy might be?

Where did you get the installation media? How is it activated?
I'd start over with the latest official installer ISO for your licensed version burned to DVD or flash stick with tool provided in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 then stick with those steps to get get and keep a perfect install.
