Hi

moved my start menu to data drive ( so when I restore, I do not lose that menu structure / organization)

But i notice that I do not have cascading submenus:

- config panel opens when hovered over with mouse
- all programs as well

But that's all: all other menu items have to be clicked to open

Any idea ?

I can appreciate the reason that you have done this, but I'm not sure how you did it? When you say ( so when I restore, I do not lose that menu structure / organization), are you talking about reinstalling from scratch? If that is the case, wouldn't it have been easier to just create a backup image and restore from that, so that the Start Menu would be as before? What if the data drive is the one that fails...how would you be able to access the Start Menu then?

R etsra menu moved

Done with properties -> move for my profile start menu and programs menu

Yes perhaps would be easier to restore as "build in"

But have worked so 7 years under XP, never had any problem at all

Under 7 seems to be much more complex ( common start menu, user start menu etc)
