My start menu shows run, but its not working because i hav mymistakely delete its 1-2 keys from regedit... please provide me that keys so, that my run runs... wen i click on it, nothin happens

Hello Dexter, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You can do a System Restore using a restore point dated before you deleted them to restore them.

Here's the default registry entries for Run in the reg download below. However, you will need to take ownership (step 3 in OPTION TWO) and grant your account full permission of every registry key (left pane) at HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{2559a1f3-21d7-11d4-bdaf-00c04f60b9f0 since the owner of these keys is TrustedInstaller in Windows 7. After running the reg file below, you would then have to restore TrustedInstaller as the owner for all of the registry key above again.

It would be much easier with a System Restore if it did not undo to many other items you have changed though.

It may be worth a try, but since it is a deleted registry entry instead of a system file, I do not think it would help.

nop that registry didnt run on my computer.... i hav cr8ted a user as u hav shown in fig... but didnt work for me.... I think i have bymistakely deleted something from HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AllFileSystemObject\ i think i have deleted 2 keys from it e.g. {fdsasas} like this

Without knowing for sure what you have deleted, it would be pure guess work on what to try and restore. It may be best to bite the bullet and do a System Restore using a restore point dated before this problem.

If that still does not help, then you might consider trying a repair install to see if it can fix it for you without losing anything.

nop, thanx for the suggestion, but let it be.... i think repairing will cause redundant files, like previous versions of windows...... causing my windows to become slow.....
