start menu shutdown button has "!"
through the control panel I have the "shutdown button" set to "switch user". I have just noticed that somehow it has changed the option all by itself to "shutdown" with a yellow shield and exclamation point. Going back to the control panel start menu options, it still says "switch user". However it SHOWS "shutdown" what exactly is happening?
thanks

Might be an update to warn you rebooting, so it will finish the process during closing. And then restart with the new update installed.
Check in Control Panel=>Windows Updates....see if there's some for you.

That's very typical of a pending update. Sounds normal to me.

The shield indicates that updates are ready to be downloaded/installed, which will occur automatically if you click the button.
What does the option for
Power button action: say here?
