Start-Up Freezing Problem

I'm not sure what the actual problem is, so here's how everything happened. First, my computer died. No problem there, just battery life and not being around to plug it in. The computer started up fine, but the audio icon had a red X over it, so I restarted. From then on, when I try to start in normal mode, I go through the user/password process, my wallpaper loads, program icons start to pop up, and about 10 seconds in it just freezes, and stays that way. I've asked around, and did a whole bunch of stuff, but nothing to do with the audio driver besides installing the latest update, which I had to do manually.

But, as I think the problem stems from the audio driver problem, it doesn't seem like anyone agrees with me. I looked at my mom's laptop, and there were differences in the drivers.

When you open up the properties, under device type, mine says "system devices", but mu mom's says "Sound, Video, and Game Controllers". Also, the location on mine is "PCI bus 0,device 20,function 2" but my moms says "Location 0 (Internal High definition Audio Bus)" I also have a device status of a (Code 10:This device cannot start).

Is this the problem, or is this maybe just a difference because of sound cards or something?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Here's a list of what I've tried to fix it so far.

- Ran Malwarebytes, got rid of all that
- Installed latest driver from Realtek website
- Disabled all the programs starting with windows, to see if one of them was the problem.
- Done a few system restores, at different restore points.
- Checked my Device manager for any unknown drivers or ones with the yellow triangle( There is the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver, and the Security Processor Loader Driver- under hidden devices in non plug-and-play devices)
