Start up program ??

In Win XP it was easy to have a program start up when you first turn on your computer. I followed the instructions in Win 7 but it won't start up the way it is supposed to. The program I wrote ran in Win XP but doesn't in Win 7. The program first reads a file and only opens on certain dates that I have programed in the file.Any suggestions why I'm having a problem with win 7 ??

This should be managed via the task scheduler in windows 7 if you want reliable functionality.
